Hi
Thank you for the indication of real device now modem  response at at
commands
 but as you I am not able to dial out
any idea?
The modem is integrated in a toshiba satellite 1670, i probed also modifing
the inf file with info of  win98 driver (country tones ,etc) but nothing.

my system currently is a Redhat 7.0
i tried to load modules into system with mandrake 7.1 and kernel 2.2.17 but
on load myserial.o it goes in segmentation fault
