Subject: 11c11040 HDA on newer kernels...

Hi all,
Could the member who managed to get his 11c11040
working on a 2.6.22 kernel (as opposed to a default
2.6.21) please let me know the exact steps you took
(and what line numbers you edited etc.?)
I've been fiddling with the Mandriva source package,
but the best I have managed on my SuSE 11 (2.6.25.5)
is a SEGFAULT and a kernel OOPS on trying to run the
Agere modem daemon. (modules build & load fine
though).
I've tried both using ALSA (v .17 RC2) to export the
hda_read/write codecs, and also using the built-in
routines, with the same results.

It's rather a nuisance to be so close and yet so
far...
Thanks!
Bjorn.
