Subject: Ltmodem-59.5 , Slackware experienced testers needed]
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit

========Please DO NOT respond to the LIST ===================
   But only to Stodolsk@rcn.com

   On this round, we would like a group of more experienced Suse Linux
   users to participate

   The 5.95 drivers themselves are no problem per, se.
   It is installation/configuration issues with particular
hardware/Linux Distros, that we are trying to reveal EARLY.

   Test Slackware participants will be given a common email envelope,
to self help. Please do NOT volunteer, unless you are willing to aid
   Slackware Newbies during the general release, and to a little writeup
on any special problems encountered.

   To maximize group help, minimize problems during the full release,
   the Ltmodem maintainers are routing the test release to relevant
   sub-groups.
   Thus far participants have been:
   	PCMCIA Lucent Card users;
   	Users requiring Insertion parameter Usage;
   	A few others with special problems & a few Xperts.
           Mandrake Users
           Red Hat  Users
           Suse Users

   It is already clear that this phased approach has BENEFITS.
   Lessons being learned will make it Easier for less experienced
Users, at the general release.
