The PPP segment of your log below indicates an abundance of drivers
laoded, which are NOT necessary for a PPP session, and which may be
interfering in some may. Your System is connecting, but then
immediately aborting!! As Root, please
# lsmod
# rmmod NonEssentialModules
Then try PPP again.
Please return ONLY the section of the log beginning with the PPP attempt
and Lucent drivers, and the
# lsmod
just prior to initiating PPP.
