Hello Alberto,

Binary drivers are available for some of the AMR modems. The actual
driver you need will depend on the chipset your modem is using.

I am currently working on an open source driver for the Intel AMR.
There is a webpage at http://www.stewartcastle.com/ac97-modem/. The
latest source (which I'm afraid isn't that recent) is available at
ftp://ftp.stewartcastle.com/pub/ac97_modem/.

Development on the driver has been halted while a work on a software DSP
(which is necessary in order to allow you to do something useful with AC
'97 Modem driver).

Hope this helps get you started...

Ian
