En réponse à "Ganeshan, Murli" <murli.ganeshan@intel.com>:

I had the same problem with pctel 0.9.2 driver under slackware 8.0 with same
modem chipset. No pctel.o...Is there a fix for that...
So I tried pctel 0.9.1 driver and I got pctel.o and the good messages
in /var/log/messages.
However neither Minicom nor ppp work...
So I must try 0.8.6....
