Hello
Problem: Wvdial doesn't find modem
Environment: I have a toshiba 2599 XDVD.
Sometime in the past I had the modem working. I reinstalled and lost the backup. And forgot what I did.
There are no /dev/LT* files.
I have installed Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 r7 _Potato_ -Official i386 Binary-1 (200207714)
I tried installing the LTmodem version 8 package from the CDrom but it doesn't seem to work.
I installed the kernel-source-2.2.9depci but there is no modversions.h file. I haven't discovered how to create one.
I tried compiling LTmodem version 6, it complains that the modversions.h file is missing.
What is the easiest way to get the modem working?
Regards Tom Bodine
