Thank you for your responses, I ran checkout and while it loads lt_modem=2E=
o=20
correctly, lt_serial=2Eo will not=2E It says I have either:
1=2E Not a lucent DSP modem=2E
( the checkout said it was lt_modem vendor id=3D0x115d, device_id=3D0x420=
)
The computer manual says its an LT win modem=2E
2=2E That I might need to force parameters=2E
or
3=2E I have resource conflicts=2E I didn't put in a boat load of drivers =
when
I=20
installed linux, and the checkout program tested again with some removed,=20=
and it stilled failed=2E=20
Any ideas?
---------------------------------
Its probably trivia=2E
The wvdialconf only scans /dev/ttyS* ports
so
# ln -s /dev/ttyLT0 /dev/ttyS0anything
Then
# wvdialconf
will succeed=2E
Afterwards, replace /dev/ttyS0anything with /dev/modem in
/etc/wvdial=2Econf=20
OR alternatively, just run the =2E/checkout which I'll send separately=2E=20=
