Translations between IC Consumer and AS chipset names: =

This chipset is supported by the resources at http://www.heby.de/ltmodem
But before going there run:

# uname -r
2.4.19-solo  is your current kernel_version

# uname -m   is the laptops processor designation.
i686

Within the Mandrage folder there are driver installer filenames like:

        ltmodem-kv_2.4.19_16mdk-----8.22a5-1.i586.rpm
                   kernel_version            processor

The kernel_version must match yours. =

If your PC is an i686 (most likely) you can also use installers with
labels i586, i486, i386

Do install the wvdial.rpm package, so that the =

=2E/checkout
utility can test the installation of the modem drivers.

A similar modem works fine on my Armada M300
