Hello,

I can't seem to find my winmoden in linux. On windxp the AC'97 modem is =
com=20
3. In linux would it be /dev/ttyLT2 that should point to /dev/modem? =20

What exactly does this info mean?

"Executing ./autoload on my and some other machines has caused the file=20
/etc/modules.conf to be corrupted with an unrecognised command=20
`"$ALIASLINES"'. This is an accidental inclusion from the package source=20
code, and may cause your system boot-up to fail various hardware (Kernel=20
module) checks. To correct this problem, simply delete the line relating =
to=20
`"$ALIASLINES'" and reboot. Your system should then work fine."

This is the info in the /etc/modules.conf file:

probeall scsi_hostadapter ide-scsi
probeall usb-interface usb-uhci
alias eth0 e100
alias sound-slot-0 i810_audio

# lt_drivers: autoloading and insertion parameter usage
alias char-major-62 lt_serial
alias /dev/tts/LT0 lt_serial
alias /dev/modem lt_serial
# The next two lines are syntax examples, only Rarely Needed, to automate=
=20
parameter usage during lt_drivers insertion. See documentation for detail=
s.
# options lt_modem vendor_id=3D0x115d device_id=3D0x0420
# options lt_modem Forced=3D3,0x130,0x2f8,0
# section for lt_drivers ends

I have a IBM A31Thinkpad. It does not have the wireless option. I used =
the=20
ltmodem-kv_2.4.19_16mdk-8.26a9-1.i586.rpm with Mandrake kernel of the sam=
e=20
version.
